Spinal disc herniation

Fie, our little poodle is just one and a half years old, she can be described as avery active dog who themselves have taken on

A lot of self-taught numbers.

She can dance

She can jump - from the ground and up to 1 meter straight up in his arms at me.

She can run - going berserk at times, especially in this weatherwe've had recently, a heap of snow - She has been unable to resist.

When she takes his rounds, you might as well give up, so must growl and so does she like a wild dog. Oddly, it is to see her take the tours.

She has always been very, very active, and a very hearty dog  she has not an ounce of fat on the body, probably because of her daily exercise programs.

She loves to walk and has very rarely dog leash, because sheobeys very well and we go often in places where it is allowed to have his dog go loose.

Fie is the whole family's pet cover - Our 2 children aged 5 and 7 years love her and so do we have 2 adults of course.

Saturday, December 4, 2010 was no ordinary day for our daughter's 7th birthday and we had invited a lot of guests to the birthday party.

It was pretty quickly apparent that it was not any particular socialize- release day.

When I was out walking with Fie Friday evening, she would suddenly not go further.
It looked like there was nogt wrong with the one foreleg. Salt I thought the snow was thick, so I had tried before.

I took fie up and carried her home - she is thankfully not very heavy,
with its 4.5 kg.

When we got home, I washed her front paws, and they seem to help.
There was nothing more to note this Saturday evening.

Next morning, I could see there was something wrong with Fie. It looked almost like she had a stomach ache, so we
began to keep an eye on her.

When my grandmother showed up as the first guest, was not Fie
Happy as usual - she kept to herself and would not appear.
I was getting a little worried that she was right  ill.

I thought that I would take a walk with her, but she would not go beyond the front yard -

She went in and I was getting a little anxious, for what could be wrong with her.

At around.
14 am my mom and dad arrived.

My father, who has dad a lot to do with dogs, for his whole life,  then of course once saw, that something was wrong with Fie.
He picked her up and touched her if something was to mark
outside of her.
Even her feet were checked thoroughly, but there was nothing to find.

There was nothing to note, besides my dad said it so like Fie had a problem with legs or back. He could see Fie on the last part of the body had a slightly curved Back.

He took Fie outside, to see how bad things were.

After a brief moment, he came back, bearing in Fie.

He said Fie, in his view was Fie seriously ill -

He has a theory that dogs are usually  cry for the smallest things.

If you come relatively easy to enter a dog paw, so
scream it as if it's dying.

In contrast, a dog very tough when they have come over squeaky point - it must be borne in mind - When this phase is reached, in each case over in the dog must be helped as soon as possible, in his view.

My father could alstå see Fie was very ill, though she did not
gave a murmur from him.

It does not mean that a dog shall not be helped, take care when the dog does not say anything -  it proves not that the dog is not sick.

One must assess the dog's specific condition, and one must pay
Extra attention that your dog may very well be sick,
Although it is not squeamish.

I had even a little hard to be convinced that his theory were correct, but I would not even play smart - and frankly,  I thought of Sunday supplements and more. the vet, and still I had doubts that it was necessary to run away.

I called around and got hold of a vet who had Sunday open, close to our homes.

We got an appointment right away and got Fie, and got her plotted
In the car.

She stumbled out something when she went, and I was getting something uneasy.

Veterinarian immediately took hold of examining Fie - He was not so speaking and he came in that he believed that Fie had a slipped disc.

As the investigation was over, he felt sure that Fie had  got a
Spinal disc herniation  and he wanted to take a few x-rays pictures of Fie's back.

I kept himself Fie when he took pictures, and after they were taken, I went back to the waiting room with Fie, where also my father sat.

Fie was rapidly worse, and would now not walk on the floor - I
were becoming terrified - what was it that happened?
I knew Nothing about
Spinal disc herniation, but could see that it was really bad.

Fie lurched about and had no track of his movements, and the next 10-15 minutes was quite horrendous. Eventually, Fie could not stand on their feet, and her hind leg was completely relax - They hung behind her when she tried to stir - it was as if half of her was complete dead - no tail movements, no movements in the hind legs -

My own brain could not keep up with what was happening.
I was deeply unhappy about our little pet covered condition and I was fully aware that it was completely mad.

The veterinarian had provoked the pictures, but could not see
anything abnormal. He believed it was necessary to further subsurveys, to ascertain what actually was wrong.

The veterinarian gave even expressed surprise at how quickly
Fie's state changed.
He scratched the situation up for us:

1. We could let the doctor kill the dog.

2. We could try to give her some muscle tonic medicin, but the fact that the disease had developed in few hours, did not make him optimistic that a treat-
Ling with medication could benefit Fie.

3.
You could try to operate Fie-but he drew attention that this solution was very expensive and he did much out how to tell that there was no guarantee for an opera
tion would succeed.

Before Fie had been completely paralyzed, had we had time to discuss possible try with a medical solution.
This solution would prove To be effective within a few days. But with the turntion in Fie's condition, there were only 2 options left - either operation, or we had to take it very cumbersome steps to get killed Fie.

I was unhappy and could not think - my father sat beside by me - and said we had to make a plan, because if not we did it, so there was only one option left and that was that get killed Fie.

We could not sit there and decide anything  for less than 2 hours since we were barely aware that Fie ever failed anything.

My father made the decision.

You have to read the rest, when my fathers E-Book is finished about 1.st of March 2011.
